If you have arrived in Costa Rica via the Liberia airport in the last two years, you have seen the construction of over 250,000 square feet taking place. The 41 million dollar project is scheduled to be completed in late 2011.
The new facilities will increase the capacity of the airport 100% and is designed to process 1500 passengers in peak hours. It could not come at a better time as more than 225,000 people arrived through the Liberia airport last year.
Hopefully we will see an increase in the number of airline flights available through Liberia.
